Born, and raised in his home State of IMO, TJay KARTEL, F. K. A. TJ Eleweukwu has been giving us great music and vibes since his early venture into the Nigerian Music Industry. His Love for music can be traced to his younger days, watching his Mum as the Music Director of their Church. This Love and passion would follow through to his University days, briefly at University of Calabar, and then I. M. T. Enugu. While he was still serving as a Youth Corper, he released his debut single ELEWEUKWU, which shot him straight into limelight. It garnered him a lot of recognition, relevance, respect, and many collaborations with other Artistes. TJay KARTEL put his musical career on hold, to pursue his other interest, Construction. He did very well in that field too, all the while , still writing and voicing for other Artistes. He writes music with such ease, and his voice is definitely a powerful instrument. A chance collaboration, and meeting with the Boss of Ssyma Records saw TJay coming back fully to music, his first and greatest Love. His favorite way to relax when not working, is usually with friends, catching a good movie, or going for really long walks. He has also made his Love for children obvious, and cannot wait to have a house full of them. He is Single, and Searching, and is currently signed to SSyma Records ...!

Nwabueze Chukwuka Ndubisi, is a Nigerian-born Afro beat and Rap music Artist. He was born and raised in Awka city, Anambra State, Nigeria. The nickname, “Bishop” was given to him by his relative, owing to the fact that his father was a priest in a Christian church. He later decided to add “Excel” to his stage name, which he shortened to “XL”; thus “Bishop XL.” During his high school days, Bishop XL would perform popular songs to his school mates; mimicking his favorite Artists like the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti, and even some American Hiphop Artists. He decided to delve into the music business when he stopped doubting his talent in songwriting, composing, singing and rapping. For starters, he founded his record label Clergy Entertainment, and later changed the name to Kleji Inc.He has 2 EPs and many Singles to his belt, currently working on his Full studio Album. He is the 1st Afro beat music Artist in Japan, promoting the African Culture.Recently, he signed a promotion deal with a Record label - Nahfconnects, based in Tokyo, Japan.Website: www.bishopxlmusic.com

I was just a teenager when my brother informed us all, that he’d be moving to Japan. I had never, up until that point, heard about the Country. My Mom pulled down the Atlas and pointed, and said ,”That’s Japan”. I was happy, but deeply scared for him, mostly because information wise, I was completely lost. That was over 25 years ago. If it were to be today, my teenage self wouldn’t have been so lost. I would know, not just Where to locate Japan, but could run statistics on Her. That is the blessing of modern Technology, and a little thing called social media exposure. The world indeed has become one giant melting pot of different people and cultures, and easily compressed into a hand held device called the Smart Phone. Today, as I await the opening day for the inaugural “All About Africa, phase one : African Food and Music Festival”, I can’t help, but try not to burst at the seams with excitement. A first of its Kind event, that will showcase over a three day period, a taste of various African Cuisine, and electrifying performances from some of the best African Artistes, specifically, from the AFROBEATS genre. A Genre of music that Originated in Nigeria, and has crossed many boundaries, and has globally dominated music charts in Every continent, including Asia. The timing, and the host country for this Event is nothing short of perfection, given that both continents share a strong connection in areas of culture and Spiritualism, sports, fashion, agriculture, hospitality, and now, entertainment. The Japanese Government must be acknowledged, and appreciated for being very receptive of the idea of accepting, and investing in the Entertainment sector in Africa, generally in areas of film, and music - but specifically, AFROBEATS. This willingness by The Japanese Government is already demonstrated in many ways, especially, by granting entry into Japan, to African Entertainment Industry Executives and Performers, as evidenced by AfroBeats musicians performing on the main Stage during the 2022 Odaiba Music Festival, and now, the 2023 Inaugural African Food and Music Festival event. This is a very progressive, and welcomed decision, looking at the fact that the Nigerian music Industry for instance, ranks second highest in the world, contributing to the Economy of the Nation more than many other sectors in annual revenues with more than $13.3 billion in streaming alone, (2022), and is projected to top approximately $15.8 Billion by 2025; ( Forbes) and given that The Nigerian Movie Industry, Nollywood, is already a booming multi-billion Dollar industry, ranking 3rd place in the world, it’s easy to agree that there’s no better time than now, for Africa and Asia, using the tools of technology and social media, among others, to mutually tap into these growing sectors for a common good, a move already being spearheaded by Japan, given the evidence already highlighted above. On a very personal note, I would like to use this opportunity to salute the tireless efforts of Nahfconnets for Africa and the World, headed by The President and CEO, Chief Kennedy Fintan Nnaji, in undertaking this very daunting task, and dedicating a lot of resources into the effort to ensure a steady progress. I would also like to recognize other unknown/unnamed individuals/groups, in various sectors, especially the Diplomatic Communities in both continents, who encourage the efforts of Chief Fintan Nnaji, in ensuring continued success in this Cause He is championing. So, with zero doubts at all, and with unabridged excitement, I welcome you all to this year’s event. Please come hungry, expectant, with high energy, and in massive numbers. We cannot wait to meet, greet, and entertain You All !!!Thank you.
